Entrance Examination for admission to Engineering Degree Courses in Kerala for the year 2017 will be conducted as per the  Time Table given below. There will not be state level entrance examination for the Medical and Allied Courses (MBBS, BDS, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Siddha, Unani, Agriculture, Veterinary, Fisheries and Forestry). Candidates desirous of seeking admission to Medical and Allied Courses must necessarily qualify in the NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST - UG 2017 (NEET-UG 2017) which will be conducted by the CBSE. Candidates desirous of seeking admission to Architecture courses must qualify in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture. However, preparation of the kerala state rank lists and the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) for both Medical and Engineering streams  will be done by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala. Therefore, candidates for Medical & Allied courses must necessarily apply online to both the CBSE (for NEET-UG 2017) and the CEE, Kerala (for KEAM 2017), through the respective online application portals. Similarly, Architecture candidates must apply for KEAM-2017 in addition to applying and appearing for NATA conducted by the Council of Architecture. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official websites of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala (cee-kerala.org and cee.kerala.gov.in) as well as the websites connected to NEET- UG 2017 (aipmt.nic.in and the official websites of the CBSE) and the NATA website (www.nata.in), for updates on Application Submission and other important information regarding the respective examinations and the allotments/admissions to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala.

DATES OF KERALA ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAMINATION ANNOUNCED 

 The Entrance Examinations for admission to Engineering courses in Kerala, for the year 2017-18 will be conducted as per the following schedule:

  1. Paper I : Physics & Chemistry 24.04.2017 (Monday) 10 AM - 12.30 PM 
  2. Paper II:  Mathematics 25.04.2017 (Tuesday) 10 AM - 12.30 PM 


The Engineering Entrance Examination will be conducted across the 14 District Centers in Kerala and in Mumbai, New Delhi and Dubai. Candidates who desire to get admission in the various Engineering Courses shall have to appear for and qualify in the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala.

Kerala Engineering Agricultural Medical is an entrance examination for the admission to various professional  courses in  Kerala. It is conducted by the Office of the Commissioner of Entrance Exams. Candidates from other states are also able to participate in KEAM entrance examination. Selected candidates will be given admission in major courses such as Engineering, Arts, Dental and Medicine courses in various institutions of Kerala state.


KEAM 2016 Exam Pattern:


KEAM 2015 Exam Pattern gives an idea about the Kerala Engineering Agriculture Medical Exam for admissions to the first year courses in engineering in the state of Kerala. The KEAM examination consists of two papers; Paper I and Paper II. Paper I and II will be of two and half hours, each. The papers will consist of multiple choice questions and will include 120 questions in each paper, bringing the total score up to 480 marks.

1.There will be a written exam consisting of two papers:
   Paper I will consist of questions in Physics & Chemistry
   Paper II will consist of questions in  Mathematics
2.Each Paper will be of two and a half hours duration
3.Each Paper will have 120 questions and total score will be 480 marks
4.All questions will be of multiple choice type. There will be 5 suggested options (A, B, C, D and E) for each question of which only one will be correct.
5.Time given to answer each paper will be 150 minutes.
6.Each correct answer will be awarded FOUR marks
7.Each incorrect answer will get ONE mark deducted from the total score
8.Candidates who do not answer at least one question will be disqualified.

KEAM Application Form


KEAM 2016 application form will be available from January 2016 on the official website of the CEE Kerala. The students may get the application form from the official site. The form will be available on site for maximum three weeks. The candidates may request for the application form via post by sending a DD of the respective amount to the board.

Eligibility


For appearing the KEAM 2016 examination the candidates must have cleared the 10+2 examination with PCM (for engineering courses) or PCB (for all courses except engineering courses) with 50% in core subject (Biology/Mathematics) and 50% in total aggregate. Those candidates having engineering diploma with minimum 50% marks are also eligible to apply. The candidates must have the age of 17 years or above.

Application Fees


The application fees for the KEAM 2016 entrance examination is Rs. 1000/- for the general and OBCs category and Rs. 500/- for the SC/ST candidates. The application fee can be submitted via DD or cash payment to the selected post offices. The ST candidates whose family annual income is below 40,000/annum are exempted to payment the application form on condition they have to produce the income and caste certificate by the revenue authority.

Selection Process


The selection will be made on the basis of merit rank calculated by the marks obtained in the KEAM 2016 examination and the marks obtained in the 12th examination in the ratio of 50:50.
